Call for Papers Announcement: 17th Singapore Symposium on Pavement Technology (SPT) 2012
The 17th SPT will be held in Singapore in May 2012. The symposium is organized jointly by the Pavement
Engineering Society, Singapore (PES), LTA Academy, Singapore, and the Center for Transportation Research (CTR),
National University of Singapore. Both PES and CTR are non-profit organisations that have been actively
promoting the advancement of pavement technology in road, airfield and other industrial applications.
PES and CTR are pleased to jointly organise this important SPT series, and we seek the support of all
professionals from the road, airfield, port and building industries who are involved in pavement-related activities.
We are now calling for papers to be presented at the symposium. If you have any interesting papers related to new pavement materials, innovative
pavement construction and maintenance methods, pavement recycling or any other pavement engineering related topics that you would like to present
in the symposium, please email us at:

The submission deadline for abstracts of about 300 words is 31 January 2012.

16th Singapore Symposium on Pavement Technology
(SPT 2011)
The SPT 2011 was held at the National University of Singapore on 27 May 2011. The sponsors for this year are Highway International Pte Ltd,
Megastone Holdings Pte Ltd, SS Pavement Pte Ltd and Shell Eastern Petroleum (S) Pte Ltd.
The symposium was attended by many pavement professionals from both private and public sectors which include Land Transport Authority,
Changi Airport Group, Republic of Singapore Air Force and Defense Science & Technology Agency. The symposium comprises three sessions,
namely:
a) Low Carbon Pavement Construction
b) Pavement Development and Evaluation
c) New Technologies and Products
A total of 11 speakers from various companies and institutions have presented. The SPT 2011 was successfully
organized and we hope to meet again next year at SPT 2012.

7th International Conference on Road and Airfield Pavement Technology (ICPT)
The 7th ICPT was held in Bangkok, Thailand from 3 to 5 August 2011 at Queen's Sirikit National Convention Center. The host organizers for the event
are Ministry of Transport of Thailand, Roads Association of Thailand and Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkron University.
